Corner House Families:
It is with very mixed emotions that I write this. The time has come and I have made the decision to retire. Having not had the gym recover from being closed due to the pandemic, it just feels like it's the right time.
The gym will continue to operate through the State Fair tumbling meet, which is August 21st. After that, the doors will close for good. I want to thank every single one of you that chose Corner House as their gymnastics and tumbling program. I will miss the kids so very much but there is never a perfect time to do this. The faces of the kids may change, but the joy I feel while coaching them does not.
For the past 40+ years I have been lucky to be able to coach and see the kids' faces light up as they learned something new in this gym. I've watched so man of them grow up and been fortunate enough to have many of my former students bring their own children here for instruction. There is no greater compliment than that. It's one of the many reasons I love what I do and what has made this decision so difficult for me.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you. And even though Corner House won't be here, don't be surprised if you see me coaching here or there.
Thank you for 40+ years of being fortunate enough to truly love my job.
